Good morning, Hatidje, Vicki, Gabi, Regi, Jane, Richina. So glad to find so many majicatters awake and thinking about the concert, just like me. I dreamed about it all night...can't wait for more news... I noticed that Majid was online, but no posts from him yet...

More from Twitter:
Two encores... The first encore was a new song and Peace Train and the second was Rubylove and a new song. I assume the new songs were from "Roadsinger."

Thank you, Jane.
Peace Train as an encore? Wow - I thought the same as Vicki - that it would have been the last song of the set...
Wonder what the new songs are.

Thank you, Jane. Peace Train as an encore? Wow - I thought the same as Vicki - that it would have been the last song of the set... Wonder what the new songs are. He did "Peace Train" as an encore at SBE, so I'm not surprised he did that here, too. I'll keep looking for more...

Thanks again, Jane.
There are some really nice comments over at YI.com. Nothing on youtube yet, and only that perthnow article with a google search.
I wonder if any majicatters were there and will be checking in.
Well, patience is a virtue...

Never expected RUBY LOVE FOR an encore. That must delighted everyone, especially the Greeks in the audience. Can't wait to order Yusufs new edition of Roadsinger. On Yusufs official site, the first posts are coming in after the concert. Yusuf was amazing!!!! No reports of Yusuf and Yoriyos singing together yet.

Act 2 (Moonshadow The Musical - performed by Yusuf and the Band)
So, it seems Yusuf sang the Moonshadow songs - not the cast. The audience must have loved that. It's a nice way to bring Moonshadow the Musical on board and yet still give the audience what they want - which is Yusuf, of course.

Thank you, Majid! I'm sure you knew we were all here clamoring for information. I'm sure we must seem crazy but hopefully it shows Yusuf just how happy we are that he is "back." Please send him our congratulation on what was obviously a successful, well-received show!

I can barely drag myself away, but I have to leave now. You majicatters who can stay are so lucky. Can't wait to get back later and see what everyone has to say. Thought I should bring the review and song set back to the top: Yusuf Islam - aka Cat Stevens - enchants packed Perth audience Act 1 Lilywhite The Wind Midday Where `do The Children Play Cat Medley (Here Comes My Baby / First Cut ) Fill My Eyes Boots and Sand Miles From Nowhere Act 2 (Moonshadow The Musical - performed by Yusuf and the Band) World of Darkness Maybe There's a World Matthew & Son I Might Die Tonight Remember the Days Doors Road to Find Out Act 3 Tuesday’s Dead Road Singer Don’t’ Be Shy Waltzing Matilda Bad Brakes Sitting Morning Has Broken Wild World Encore Moonshadow Father & Son Peace Train 2nd Encore All Kind of Roses Ruby Love I Think I See The Light the eeeeeend.....til adelaide......

Does anyone know what the song "Doors" is? I think it is one from the musical, it has a line 'When a door closes...'. I have tried to find it on youtube. He sang this in Birmingham and at the RAH in the musical part. I am sure I have seen it on youtube! It sounds like the Perth concert was a triumph. Well, no surprise if they were anything like last years concerts!!!! I wonder how Noxshi were received. I thought a Rockblues set sounded like something a Yusuf audience would really appreciate.

Will there ever come a day when I can read a review or story of him being so warmly welcomed by an audience without me getting misty-eyed?? In all honesty, I hope not...
Two surprises for me in the review:
1. The audience was mostly 30-somethings. Shouldn't they have been mostly rockin' 50-somethings?
2. The "Roadsinger" album was "not so successful?" I never went anywhere to check the sales, but I guess I assumed it was successful because how mainstream it was - sold everywhere, played so many places. I guess next time I will have to buy 3...

is that mean they sang that song togather? i dont understand what happend there..i feel like im burning here....i want to know everything Last comment before I logout: No, littleone - Yusuf and Yoriyos apparently didn't sing the song together, but according to the review, Yusuf Islam - aka Cat Stevens - enchants packed Perth audience, Yusuf sang Father & Son and dedicated it to Yoriyos. The review explains a lot, but as Regi says, we also want to know about Yoriyos and Noxshi... Bye everyone ... have fun

Yeah Jane, I thought the audience would be mostly older too! Not that we're old. The lack of sales of Roadsinger there might be what prompted the special edition CD. It is apparently only being sold in Aus/NZ, and it has a great new cover...might have to get it. Wish it would come out on vinyl also, I love collecting albums! I'm so glad everything went well. I, too, wonder how Yoriyos did and how he enjoyed it (rhythm and blues sounds perfect).
