Fantastic videos! thanks for posting. The only disappointing thing is that Remember the Days of the Old School Yard is a shortened version; I'd love for him to do the full version live. It is one of his most recognised songs after all. But even 50 seconds or so of it is better than nothing! That Father and Son clip is potentially one of the best versions I've heard him do so far! Hi Paulo, hows the waiting going. I can just imagine how you must be feeling with only a few days left, and you'll be experiencing an amzing event. I don't think having these sneak previews will make it any less exciting, I think it just increases the andrenalin, so when the day comes and you'll be sitting in that centre, andrenalin ready to explode, Yoriyos with Noxshis incredible electric energy, will only add to the excitment your feeling, but don't worry, as soon as you hear the first gentle strummings of Yusufs majic fingers o his guitar, and that unique mellow voice, singing his gentle opening number, you will be able to sit back, all anxiety will have gone, Yusuf will take you on a ride that you have never experienced before, and the warm memories will live in your heart, awaiting for his return. Yusufs and his Roadsters will give you their best performance, and you never know, he might have a few more surprises for you. Looking forward to your posts, and whatever else you can manage. It seems the venues have been stricter Downunder, in allowing coverage by the audience. If the set up in the venues look as if they are recording the tour, that will be a very good sign for all. So we will just have to wait and see for a future release of the Tour. Happy thoughts, and hang in there, not long to go!!!!

Wambough... ;D Thankyou for this great find. I knew we could count on our Melbourne friends. There you go, a DVD of the tour is officialy announced!!! One of my favourites from 'ROADSINGER' is 'World of Darkness', glad Yusuf chose this song to be in the setlist. The lady with great voice on stage sends shivers up my spine when I heard her on the high notes chanting the words 'SHAMSHIAAAaaa' After hearing Yusuf sing 'Father and Son'again and again very closely, I still believe at each concert he sings it with so much passion and emotion, that he is finding it hard to hold back the tears. It could be he has matured, become wiser, he is a father, a grandfather, it was his farewell song when he left the stage, all these may stir many new feelings in his heart. I don't think it's my imagination, especially after hearing Friday nights performance. With each and every concert that passes, everyone on stage is loosening up, and holding nothing back. It is true bliss watching them perform. aahhhh

Thanks to all for the compliments on my photos - I took many, aiming to get some good ones, and some came up OK! Glad to read people enjoyed seeing them. Incredible night of music.

Well, to have a better perspective about Melbourne shows I think I can see myself! (joking!) WOW!!!!! , Now that's what I call a birdseye view. I bet a few years ago Yusuf never dreamed he would be playing to such a massive audience again, but I am so happy that he did. 11,000+ holding strong. By the way, who was up there so high taking these shots.

A few questions...Does anyone who attended the concert in Melbourne, remember Yusuf introducing the ladys with the fabulous voice on stage? Do you remember hearing her name? Was she also on stage in Perth and Adelaide? Regi thinks she is Australain. I know my imagination is running again, but just say she only performed in Melbourne, and that's the time Aluns family arrived. Now if Aluns daughter who is also a singer, maybe, well I wondered, could it be Aluns daughter? I know you all probably think.." what an imagination she has " ok, ok!!! no harm done, just thinking out aloud again. ;D

I don't remember him saying her name... She looked too old to be Alun's daughter... but then I wasn't that close.

What a shame for both of us The centre is gigantic. The whole of Melbourne Festival Hall were I first saw Cat/Yusuf 1972, could just sit nicely in the centre of the Rod Laver Centre. Festival Hall seems sooooo small compared to the RL, but whose complaining. No matter were Yusuf plays, he's simply majic.

Another question, but is there anyone here that went to the Melbourne concerts this week, were also at any of the three 1972 Melbourne concerts? I have to go to work now, but I'll be back. ;D Bye for now, catch up with your news later.

The more videos I see the more excited I get; I literally can't believe that a lifelong dream of mine is going to come to pass in literally 44 hours (but who's counting :-)) Heck i still can't believe he's in my country atm. It's all come so quickly actually, his announcement was sudden and unexpected and the dates were released fairly quickly as well. Unfortunately this has all come up right in the middle of my uni exam period and I didn't realise until after I had my ticket that it actually conflicted with on of my exams. So unfortunate as it is, I'll be "sick" on Monday night and unable to sit the exam ;-) I wouldn't normally do this but, come on, it's to see Yusuf! Unless my economics teacher is a Cat Stevens fan i should be fine otherwise I'd have a few issues :-P, luckily I can sit a supplementary exam so it's all good. So I don't know how Yusuf would feel about me jigging school to see him but there really is no other way! I think as soon as I see or hear Yusuf I'll probably cry, in fact I know I definitely will in Father and Son. This man's music just means so much to me and I never thought I'd have the opportunity to see him (I suppose none of us did for while there did we? :-D) he's just such a decent human being who has lead easily the most fascinating life of anyone I've ever heard about. I will have my trusty digital camera with me to take some snaps and I might even try to bring in a video camera if I can (we have one of those smaller more compact ones so should be able to get it past security) and try to film some of the songs- does anyone have any songs in particular they'd like to see? i know I'll definitely try to get School Yard, Ruins, Father and Son and Peace Train, but if he does some of the others like "I Might Die tonight" or even "Trouble" I'll try to get them also.

Fan-freakin'-tastic everbody!! Great videos! I have to agree, Yusuf and the band get more comfortable with each show! The arena is huge, but I'll bet it felt like hanging out with 10,999 of your closest friends. Everyone there was of like mind and heart...gosh, what power there is in that! Yusuf truly brings people together...what's not to love? ;D Can't wait for the DVD! Hang on Paulo!

Unless my economics teacher is a Cat Stevens fan i should be fine otherwise I'd have a few issues :-P With all due respect for how serious this could actually, potentially, be, this gave me a laugh. Don't worry, Paulo - even if your teacher's there, the probability of bumping into eachother in a crowd of over 10,000 is pretty low - and certainly, if you did run into eachother, he or she would understand. My God, it's Cat Stevens after 36 years! I was always a very serious student, but in this case, I would have made exactly the same decision you've made - and I suspect Yusuf would totally understand. Have a great time, Paulo - relax and enjoy the concert. We majicatters will be thinking about you, and we're all looking forward to hearing from you when you get the chance to check back in. Have fun! ~Sun~

Only 5 hours until concert time...I can hardly believe that the wish I made all those years ago as a 14 year old girl will finally come true. It is a surreal feeling at the moment...I only hope I can remember everything!
I still wish deep down that "Into White" might be sung tonight...

Our friends Paul and Celtic, and everyone in the centre, must be holding tight onto their seats just about now, waiting for Yusufs peace train to take them on a journey they thought would only live in their dreams. Well they better prepared, for this dream is about to come true. ;D Hope they enjoy every stop Yusuf takes them to, and when they come home tonight, they will tell us of their wonderful, one in a lifetime experience.

Hey folks, I'm rather disapointed - no report, video, picture from the 2nd Sydney gig yesterday :-( Hey sis, I mean Gabi ;D, be patient, they might stat to come in tonight. The Sydney folk were are bit slow with the first concert too. Look sis, even if we don't get any reports or videos from Sydney #2, look on the bright side, we have so much material from the previous concerts to enjoy. I know, you can't get enough, but that's life, you have to take the good with the bad ;D

Do you think Yusuf will sing a Michael Jackson Tribute tomorrow? "Man in the Mirror" would suite well ;-) Gabi, I was thinking of the same thing today. I think if Yusuf does not sing a MJ song, he may mention MJ, and sing one of his own songs to pay tribute to MJ. But I think it would be incredible to hear Yusuf sing a MJ song!!!
