Does anyone know what the song "Doors" is? I think it is one from the musical, it has a line 'When a door closes...'. I have tried to find it on youtube. He sang this in Birmingham and at the RAH in the musical part. I am sure I have seen it on youtube! It sounds like the Perth concert was a triumph. Well, no surprise if they were anything like last years concerts!!!! I wonder how Noxshi were received. I thought a Rockblues set sounded like something a Yusuf audience would really appreciate. Okay - really having a hard time dragging myself away, and I'm gonna be late for an appointment, but I wanted to thank Peritura for this answer. Now that you mention it, I also remember this song and I'm pretty sure it was on youtube, too. Yeah - something like: "When one door closes, another one opens..." Thank you, peritura.

"With Father And Son, which Yusuf dedicated to his son Yoriyos who opened the evening with his band Noxshi, and with the classic anthem Peace Train the crowd was in heaven"Regine before you turn in for the night, look what it says above. Yoriyos and his band opened the evening with the classic anthem Peace train!!!!! Yuusf and son may not have sang together, but son Yoriyos and Noxshi played Peace Train. That is something I really look forward to seeing and hearing!!!! Gooodnight Regi, sweet dreams all!!! ;D Counting the songs in the setlist, nearly 30 songs. Does anyone remember if Yusuf/Cat has ever performed this many songs at a concert before?

I certainly hope the video cams were out in force and we see some videos soon or we may all just burst (and that would be such a waste of Richina's wonderful jambalaya To see Yoriyos and band sing Peace Train...makes me feel older than ever But I still want to see it!

I just read that again and I don't think Noxshi sang Peace Train. Put "who opened the evening with his band Noxshi" in parentheses and it makes more sense:
"With Father And Son, which Yusuf dedicated to his son Yoriyos (who opened the evening with his band Noxshi,) and with the classic anthem Peace Train the crowd was in heaven"
I think that is what the writer intended to say, but I could be wrong.

Yes Jane I thought of that, but I think it's more wishfull thinking on my part. ;D
You know Jane, because I'm on a real high right now, you won't believe what song came to my head. Cat's old song "I love them all" It may not seem all that relevant, but when I was in my youth, I used to turn up the stereo really loud, and I would sing out, dancing around the room. "I love them all, I love them all!!!" That's what I feel like doing now. I tell you, if my family saw me now, they may think of putting me away. ;D I think knowing Yusuf is home Downunder has really taken me back in a very nolstalgic way, and I can't help it

Well, while waiting for pictures or videos we can imagine a bit from the comments of those lucky ones who attended yesterday's concert... Here are very significant ones: Melissa Kouzinas of Perth, WA Posted at 7:26 AM Today After the concert had finished, I spoke to the person next to me whom it did not know and I said Brilliant. His response was what I initially wanted to say "bloody brilliant". I was in awe of the night. His singing was spot on. It was intimate yet powerful and spiritual but not religious. I could have sat there all night and just listened. The crowd were certainly happy to have him back and I think we sure made him feel very welcome. BLOODY BRILLIAN! Joanne Barton of Perth, WA Posted at 5:44 AM Today What a fantastic concert - it was brilliant. He played for nearly two hours with two encores. Superb music and a great sense of humour. Thank you very much for such a wonderful and memorable evening!! Neridah Sharrett (Facebook) He was brilliant, the audience sat there like mesmerized children being told the most wonderful story they have ever heard. He earned the standing ovations. Bravo and thank you, Yusuf. ... and very, very interesting one: Wyldkat of Perth Posted at 3:09 AM Today I was privileged to have spent the past 4 days rehearsing with Yusuf, and to do the spotlight on him all night. How AWESOME to be listening to him all week, and for tonight with such a fantastic audience, 3 encores, and now home with the last truck rolling out at 2.30am. It will be a week I will never forget! ;D And the urticle is updated, now it has a video implemented, but from rehearsal. tinyurl.com/28cmcok

Am I right in saying that the musical section was performed by Yusuf and the band? and not the Moonshadow actors? Because if that's the case do you know what that means? Yusuf actually sings one of my all time favourite songs! Remember the Days of the Old School Yard!!!
What an amazing set list!!! Just under a week until I get to see him! :-)

first time post here....I have been lurking for far too long What a show!! - the man is just beautiful. Got to be one of the most moving concert experiences of my life. The humour and humility he showed on stage was quite wonderful. I couldnt sleep last night, my head was full of music. I was lucky enough to meet the man afterwards....so humbling! To anyone who is going to the upcoming concerts....enjoy the peace train!

Well Blueboy, first... a warm welcome to our community here and the second... I am not sure if all those hungry majicats will let you "off" before you extend your impressions, especially the part "I was lucky enough to meet the man afterwards....so humbling!" ;D

One fresh new review tinyurl.com/2d8xz6lHm, a positive review with "some complaints"... but I do not understand what was so wrong with playing Waltzing Matilda? Ii Liverpool Yusuf played his tribute to The Beatles (The Long and winding Road), and if I am right "Waltzing Matilda" is some kind of Australian folk song, almost an anthem? Can somebody clear this up, please?

It was a very surreal moment and whilst we had a camera with us it just didnt seem to suit the situation to pose for photos, so we just sat in his backstage room and had a small chat (we have a family connection from his past, but I have to be careful not to divulge much more..my wife may not be happy if I say too much..sorry). We met Yoriyos and Yusuf's wife too, but after a 2 hour show it was obvious that he was tired so we left him to relax with his family. His son is one true gentleman and the whole experience was one of such calmness and serenity. A moment I shall always remember. And ..by the way ..Noxshi rock!

Welcome Blueboy. Thankyou for your post. Happy Yusuf made it a very special night for everyone to remember. I know what you mean you could not sleep, you have the music in your head, hoping the night won't end. As you can understand for the many who could not make it Downunder, personal reviews and experiences from the fortunate who did go, are very much appreciated. Don' t worry we won't push you to reveal anything that might upset anyone. Only could you tell me if I understood correctly part of the review from "PERTHNOW". Did Yoriyos and his band perform 'Peace Train' as their opening number or was it refering to his father? Please do not stay in lurch now. I'm sure you are still in heaven, but when you come down to earth, you may remember small details from the concert to share with us. Thankyou again, we are always delighted to have a new family member here at majicat.

I cant imagine that they would have done Peacetrain though.
