Had to leave early yesterday and was so keen what will be coming in meanwhile Had to attend a meeting 'til noon - now I'm back online, have read the first few reviews, watched the videos - oh what a night! One more fantastic, unforgettable concert, a slightly new sound and excellent stage settings ... absolutely marvellous! My heart is filled with joy although I wasn't there - Yusuf we need MORE, MORE, MORE ...

One fresh new review tinyurl.com/2d8xz6lHm, a positive review with "some complaints"... but I do not understand what was so wrong with playing Waltzing Matilda? Ii Liverpool Yusuf played his tribute to The Beatles (The Long and winding Road), and if I am right "Waltzing Matilda" is some kind of Australian folk song, almost an anthem? Can somebody clear this up, please? Yes, Waltzing Matilda is a 'traditional' Australian song... Who exactly had the problem with Yusuf singing Waltzing Matilda? I've heard other artists do this song, and the audience just loved it, and were honoured that a any non Australian artist would take the time to learn such a beautiful traditional song. It has been covered in many different singing styles, and I would love to hear how Yusuf covered the song. I think it would suite his voice ideally if he sang it like a soft and slow ballad.

Any word on how the Father & Son photos went?? Looking at the video of ' Father and Son', I did not see a video wall of photos behind Yusuf and his band. It may not show as to the position of the person taking the video, but if I remember correctly I think I had read it was only for his Melbourne show. Maybe the other venues did not have the means to project them, or they did not get the response they hoped for. Well someone from PERTH may soon answer your question.

Hey Everybody!! Thanks for the video finds Crobarbie, great work! And to everyone posting articles and comments about the show, many thanks to you also. We can never seem to get enough! It seems that Tuesday's Dead is always a crowd pleaser (and a me pleaser, as well), I'm so glad he has kept it in the show. What a wonderful time Yusuf had and what a great venue. I love the light show that they did...gosh, I wish I could be there!! Keep all the info coming...I live for it! ;D

I'm here! I'm here! I had some meetings as soon as I got in (7:00am!) and am now able to get to the important stuff! ;D The great thing about the internet is that people in other parts of the world are doing things like writing reviews and posting pictures and videos while you sleep, and you log on to find these treasures! I did watch the rehearsal video last night (and downloaded it, of course...) Now I have to check out the YouTube videos. I was also surprised about the negative comments in the review - both about "Waltzing Matilda" and "Moonshadow." So many musical artists pay some kind of tribute to where they are performing, sometimes by only changing a few words in the lyrics to fit the location. I think it is downright charming that he chose to sing that. Regarding "Moonshadow" has the reviewer forgotten about - or perhaps never seen - the "Teaser" video? "Moonshadow" is not the first we have seen the whimsical side of Yusuf. What we saw at RAH really impressed me, how his songs from a 40-year span told the story. Oh well, I am still elated by this and will not let a few negative comments get me down, especially now that the board has come alive again and I am with my friends! Jane

Someone on Yusuf's site posted this: Yusuf, thankyou, thankyou thankyou, for an awsum night last night, the music was pure magic, and to see my brother on screen when father and son was sung, brought a tear to my mums, sister and my eye, please dont leave it as long next time. Simply Brilliant...... So they must have done the screen. So much for our hunch of father and son singing together!

Yes Jane I thought of that, but I think it's more wishfull thinking on my part. ;D You know Jane, because I'm on a real high right now, you won't believe what song came to my head. Cat's old song "I love them all" It may not seem all that relevant, but when I was in my youth, I used to turn up the stereo really loud, and I would sing out, dancing around the room. "I love them all, I love them all!!!" That's what I feel like doing now. I tell you, if my family saw me now, they may think of putting me away. ;D I think knowing Yusuf is home Downunder has really taken me back in a very nolstalgic way, and I can't help it love it Vicky just home and already on Majicat lol with the same feelings

Am I right in saying that the musical section was performed by Yusuf and the band? and not the Moonshadow actors? Because if that's the case do you know what that means? Yusuf actually sings one of my all time favourite songs! Remember the Days of the Old School Yard!!! What an amazing set list!!! Just under a week until I get to see him! :-) PAULO DO YOU HAVE EVERYTHING READY TO SPOIL US WHEN YOU ARE BACK BET YOU CAN NOT WAIT TILL THE WEEK IS GONE ENJOY

It was a very surreal moment and whilst we had a camera with us it just didnt seem to suit the situation to pose for photos, so we just sat in his backstage room and had a small chat (we have a family connection from his past, but I have to be careful not to divulge much more..my wife may not be happy if I say too much..sorry). We met Yoriyos and Yusuf's wife too, but after a 2 hour show it was obvious that he was tired so we left him to relax with his family. His son is one true gentleman and the whole experience was one of such calmness and serenity. A moment I shall always remember. And ..by the way ..Noxshi rock! oh yes he is really a true gentleman and i must admit you saying what we all felt in London calmness and serenity ,noone can say a bad word from them to me never Regine

Yes, we do SURE WE DO Jane we are family brothers and sisters Yes, we are Regii, and I sincerely mean that, even if we sometimes call each other old cows ;D Seriously though, I am really craving a Majicatter moment - it's been 6 months since RAH and that is too long. We need some news about the Moonshadow musical!

Yes, we do SURE WE DO Jane we are family brothers and sisters I agree Wow, in six months I was lucky to see live both my greatest heroes, Cat Yusuf and Bob Dylan... Yusuf in RAH and Dylan few days ago (Monday) in my hometown Zagreb (I posted two videos in the thread about our 2010. concerts... take a look... it is very interesting to compare those two passionate artists... both concerts were "best of the best" Well, I am thinking about Perth's concert... just a preview of a setlist gives a conclusion that it was fantastic concert. And not to forget that Moonshadow musical was played by Yusuf & his band. But, the fact that this second encore was, I beleive, unexpected (because usually after Peace Train & Father and Son the end of the show is logical) and "provoked" by the reaction of the crowd. And this second encore is very special because it seems that all three songs he dedicated to his God, and that is why he was able to play Rubylove because if he dedicates this song to God he has no problem with playing it... and all these three songs are very close one to each other by meaning (All Kind of Roses, Rubylove and I Think I see zhe Light)... just do not know how he performed them? Roses probably alone, and two others with band or all alone (like hi did RAH meedley which he repeated in Perth also)? But very soon we'll probably all find out

Fantastic!! He was definitely having a great time - I loved that one of the backdrops was the back of the "Foreigner" album. I'll never get enough...sigh...

Yes, the sceneries are substantially better than on England tour. Unfortunately, in the relation to the songs he just not always sings. Tuesdays Dead deals just thus nothing at all with Foreigner.
