I think the reason why there is no footage of the concert is that everyone was so involved and emotional that we all forgot to get our cameras out....

Now I understand a little bit more how Australia is crazy for Cat Yusuf...  and more here www.peace-train.com.au/(sorry if this was posted somewhere here on Majicat, but I did not notice) This is what I have been saying for ages! Even the tributes shows were selling out huge venues like the Sydney Opera House! I've been to both tribute shows, and believe me they were packed! These videos are amazing as ever- great to hear him singing "On the Road to Find Out" because it's another all time favourite on the wish list. Is it just me or is his voice just getting better and better everytime he performs? He is hitting notes better and sounding so comfortable with his old songs again. I cannot express how very excited I am to see him- I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and some videos if I can manage it without compromising my enjoyment of the show. I suppose I'll have to put my front row seat to good use for the majicat family :-) I intend to write a detailed review of the whole experience after I see him. |

I can totally understand how pictures did not get taken. It will be my first Cat/Yusuf show if he ever makes it here - and I can't imagine that I will even remember to pull my camera out. I will just be so in the moment. Your detailed review will be eagerly anticipated Paulo |

I'm planning to take my extra zoom lens which is pretty long because I think my seats are far. Do you guys think I'll look like a weirdo? I am taking my brother in law along and he doesn't really wanna go so I'll be sure to make him take heaps of photos and videos for you guys I am super duper excited for the concert and the dinner... seeing Yusuf twice in one week!!! Aaaargh! |

As a number on here will know, I posted some great videos of the RAH show in London. I know they were well received and I enjoy looking at my HD footage from time to time. It is possible to take everything in and film at the same time. Its not as if I was using a great big camera with giant lens whilst leaping up and down. I hope someone bothers - take it from me, it won't spoil anything and in fact will give you even greater pleasures when the old grey matter fails!

Interesting, because I was having similar thoughts about the lack of comments, videos, photos, etc after this show - even on Yusuf's site. When I went to his site last night I think I saw a total of 15 comments and that includes comments from people like us who were not even there. There were more videos, photos, etc after the SBE show and that was an audience of about 2000. The fact that I waited almost 40 years to see him was the very reason I had to take photos.
Oysterman - you absolutely took great videos and we all thank you for that (because I watch them again and again as well), but I have to admit that for me, it does take away from the enjoyment of the show. Even then, I have to take some! How can you not? I think I am most surprised because these shows sold out in minutes - I would have thought we would see more by now.

At the El Rey there was no photography or recording allowed (invite only, I guess). Maybe since we didn't pay to get in, we didn't have the right!? (kidding)  No seriously, if I could have taken pics or videos....believe me I would have!! If only for selfish reasons. But mostly so I could inform my Majicat family! ;D Thanks for your offer Paulo and I look forward to everything you send us. PS I do understand about getting caught up in the moment however. |

These Majicatters are a very rare breed. ;D But it could mean most are not aware of these sites. Hope tomorrows audience in Adelaide proves me wrong. I did notice though, there were more post made on 'PERTHNOW' under the last review of Yusuf in concert in Perth, than there was on Yusufs official site. Even our Regi made a post there Can always count on Regi to get a good word in for Yusuf at every opportunity. |

Generally, video and phototography isn't allowed at most indoor events, but YouTube would have little to show if that was enforced. It's about being reasonable with what you use. A small compact camera is ignored even with a good spec like the one I used.
Just don't use a flash!

In about about less than two hours Yusufs Adelaide concert should begin. Checked the site 'ADELAIDENOW' and no mention of the concert, let alone of Yusuf being in town. What because it's Sunday no ones covering the gig.  Well if this is an indication of what's coming we shouldn't expect any videos or posts. Don't worry, I have a feeling once Yusuf arrives in Melbourne it will be a completely different story. His stay in Melbourne is a little more extended than the other cities, so it will be hard for Yusuf to avoid the publicity. Anxious to see the reports next week In the meantime, my best wishes to all for tonights concert. |

WOWOWOWOW Yoriyos looked entousiast on Facebook and he said they wont to bring to other versions of Alilah and The Sirat wish someone filmed them and now Yusuf is giving lots of people(8000)a wonderfull feeling wowwowwow.
there are Majicatters everywhere like spy's lol

The link about the video "in post production" has been around for a long time. I think since shortly after SBE. I had forgotten about it. I wish it meant something, but sadly, I don't think it does. But if I'm wrong.....okey dokey!! ;D Everyone enjoy the concert...lucky dogs! |

Wow - he sounds so good, even though this laptop at work seems to be working at dial-up speed. I have to admit this has never been one of my favorite songs of his, but loved this because of how good he sounded. Now we just need more - I'm sure Richina is about ready to burst! |
