Yup I could just sit and watch Cat play poker all day. It reminds me of that painting of the dogs playing poker. Except of course it's Cat playing poker. LOL What's he saying? I can't quite make it out. "I win?" or "I have three?"

odeon, thanks for sharing, our favourite artist is keeping you very busy searching for news, old and new. It must be a good break from your studies every now and then. Well it seems the reporter has kept the tape for himself for safe keeping, pitty for us. Never mind, there is alot going on now, and the web gives us the opportunity to read, and hear almost his every move.

:)I know that Yusuf is used to it? but how horrible I think it must be to have your every move scrutinised.....and I am one of the ones that likes to know what Yusuf is up to....sometimes I feel ashamed and then I think well he asked for it afterall...LOL ..and the worst thing must be when you are misunderstood or mis reported or even misrepresented....wow glad that Yusuf has his family round him......I dont suppose it really counts what most people think....as long as he feels safe and secure aand his faith helps.......and I think he knows that lots of us care about him..actually I reckon that some Majicatters would be good security....Hmmm lol I am good at making tea....

Exactly, i also don't get why people would think yusuf is not a man of peace, HE DONATED HALF HIS LIVE TO SCHOOLING AND CHARITY ! The media just likes to present him in a bad way, however if you spend some time listening to his interviews/songs you know that he can't be that guy some media say he is, in fact if i should chose a peace symbol i would chose yusuf above the famous peace pigeon ;D BTW im done for now with my study, i will have to wait to when they tell me if i passed my exam, so i can donate my time to my hobby's and friend's

;D there is a classic rock channel i listen to all the time, and i got to thinking, how come i never hear cat on that channel, so i joined the site, and emailed them and asked why don't you guys play cats song, you are after all classic 70-90's rock, and no reply,,,,, a few days later, radio on, and on comes the dj, " and this one goes out by special request to debbie" and it was hard headed woman!!! i nearly drove off the road and since that day i do hear cat songs , i was so proud of myself !!

I got stuck in a major traffic jam taking a friend to the airport today. Ended up not minding too much as I was listening to a programe about the Basing Street Studios and who should be mentioned quite prominently with Chris Blackwell reiterating that he recorded Island Records best ever album?? You guessed it... none other than the Cat. Listened to snippets from Tea for the Tillerman, too. Seemed to while away the time stuck between junctions

A pleasant surprise: I finally got around to watching last week's episode of "House" that I recorded on the DVR. And what should I hear at the very beginning of the show, as the patient-of-the-week is introduced? Morning Has Broken.

(Was Dog a Doughnut)A great 'find', Christina! I recall that "Was Dog A Doughnut" was also used as the background music for a few "Dancin'" ads on TV and radio back then. So, as you say, Cat actually first hit Broadway over 30 years ago! Here's hoping that Yusuf's "Moonshadow" marks his triumphant return to the "The Great White Way" one day soon! -Bud

Look at what turned up on the booklist for my Sufism course at the university! If Yusuf doesn't own a copy of this, someone should buy it for him. Attachments:

Last wednesday we're playing skat at the club house of our allotment holders. They switched the radio channel and zapped into "Lady D'Arbanville" followed by "Darkness" of the new, marvellous LC album! Maybe that made me win a few € :-)

I work Part-time at a Supermarket and they Normally play "Peace Train" and "Wild World" since they are major songs but i was shocked to hear them play "Thinking Bout You" Ohhhhhh i got well excited and started telling my colleagues that this guy is a Legend and My favorite singer Makes my days a bit better at work whenever they play one of his songs but considering they play 100's shame theres only 3 i really wait for but still shouldn't really complain. (P.s Jane I think this belongs here )

This is not really a Catspotting experience but.... Last night I had the irresistible envy to watch the Majikat DVD, something I hadn't done in months. So I did watch it and enjoyed it more than I usually do (I'm not a big fan of that concert). When it was over and I was going to bed I peaked at the calendar and realise that we were March the 10th. Which is the anniversary date of the Majikat concert at the Montreal Forum 36 years ago. Guess I subconciously watch the show knowing.... or maybe not. Strange!
