Hello Niceguy,
Keep an eye on ebay, they sell them quitre regularly on it. And if you watch and wait, you should be able to get it for a reasonable price.

Please Vivian, tell me you are not going to buy them. You can make them yourself for much cheaper than paying someone to rip you off.
If you have a label maker program you can make them yourself in like 2 minutes. I, at one time when I use to go under the user name of Trezzie used the Trezlar drawing in my labels, and then another time I used the majicat logo. So all you need is a jpg of a picture and a label program.
You can make yourself a number of other things as well, Business Cards, Refrigerator Magnets to name a few.

Oh My it sounds like such a wonderful evening, I am thrilled that you both had such delightful night. But to quote Celticat, I am envious in the most delightful way. But I must add, given the opportunity if one was to meet Alun in person, I am pleased to see it was some one like the two of you, musicians who appreciate Alun and his extraordinary guitar playing at his best. Thanks for your long letters discribing the evening events. I almost feel as if I were there with you. What a joy it had to be. Aw I am so envious! whoops that slipped out . ;-)

Oh Chris, thank you for the update! I'm so thrilled to hear that you and DJ had a wonderful time and to hear that Alun enjoyed your company as well. I'm so envious. Seriously, I am happy to see to musicians were able to talk to Alun about his guitar playing what a wonderful treat that had to be for you. .... Tell us more :-) As for Val, I have recieved quite a few letters from people stating that they had recieved letters from her during her Fantasy Ring days, and that they still hold warm thoughts of her after all these years. Oh, and thanks for the plug for Majicat :-) Christine

They actually played it twice on the show, both were just little snippets, plus it was another male singer. But is was definately nice to hear.
As for The Wind, it appeared on a Timberland shoe commercial a few years back. I think it also appeared in a Sea World commercial as well.

Question....On the Yusuf site it says you can download the song. So far it downloads the song to the temporary folder and when I reboot I lose the song. Is it possible to download it to the harddrive so I can burn it onto a disk? Love, A'isha Aisha, it should be stored in your Windows Media library. Open up your Windows Media Program, click on your File at the top of your window, go down to where it should list the last 5 or 6 audios you listened to. Peace Train should be listed among them, click on it. It should come right up in the window and start playing. Also on the same File Button, there is a Copy to CD button you can use to save it to CD/Zip Disk or a folder on your Desktop. Christine

OK, if Yusuf were to revise another song for us, which song woud be your suggestion to revise and why..... Boy we really want to keep that man busy, don't we?
Mine would be: Oh Very Young
Mostly because it already has a nice beat, and i love the lyrics. It just seems like something that could be very easily reworked.

Hello Bruckjw,
I just recently watched 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and I am not quite sure which song you are referring to in the movie. It's a possibility the tune is similar.
Christine

Hello. I felt it's very difficult to keep sane in such a star world. What I feel about Cat/Yusuf is...How he could survive in such a deceit world and the more he could find Truth and built the true personality and could distinguish the true matters.....I feel like it's the miracle!!! Peace,Yukas Yukas, very well said. And to think how young he was and what a hard fast life he lived at such a tender age. It still amazes me that he was only 17!! I guess it all depends on the person and perhaps family back ground what you make of your situation. Yusuf had a goal to find what he was searching for, which he ultimately found. Unfortunately people like Michael Jackson and a number of other young stars like Jim Morrison were not as lucky. Christine

Lene, People go through all type of different phases in their lives. Maybe by time they are 25 they will look back and say WOW Lene was right, Cat is great! I know there were many groups that I never really cared for as a youth, now I look back and can not for the life of me figure out why I did not like the Stones as a kid, but love there music now? Go Figure. Now Springsteen, if I never hear another song on the readio by him, I would be content. Funny how similar in type of music Bob Seegar was to Springsteen, and yet I loved Seegar, but dispised Springsteen. Whats that all about?

Hey Django,
Don't feel disappointed. Not everyone has the same taste. But I will tell you, that I didn't especially like Foreigner the first time I listened to it in 1973, or even the the second or third. But I think it is one of those albums, the more you listen to it, the more you enjoy it. I don't think Cat really entended for it to be enjoyed by all.

I'll see if I can locate the tape I have it on, and transcribe what he says about it here. If I recall correctly, I think he mentioned it as sort of a jam session between the two.

There was a radio program years ago, which Elton John talks about the song. They then played 'Honeyman' on the program after Eltons explaination of it. But, I think this was the one and only time it was ever aired on the radio.

The one song I would love to learn more about is 'Miles From Nowhere'. I know the mountain was used more as a parable and not that Cat was actually backbacking, but it does conjure up a sweet picture. Anyway this songs visualization is so astounding and the beat so lively, I just can't help but love it. ....
On a personal note, I don't know how many times while hiking, I ended up humming the song.

Ricky, I love Where do the children play, and I agree it could very well be an envirmental song.
I think with Cat/Steve raised in inner-city london, it may have a lot to do with his own upbringing. Just where does an inner-city child play? It seems like he is saying progress can be a wonderful thing if it doesn't go to far, and only if the smallest of it's citizens needs are not neglected.

Hello Lene, hmmm, I still think it has to be a problem with your real audio on your computer. Otherwise everyone would be having same problems viewing the files. Perhaps you should try re-downloading real audio or upgrading to the newest version. I also have another solution you could try: After you click on a link and you get that little message saying it could not find the URL, try placing the URL ADDRESS of the Real Audio file (you wish to listen to), right into the browser of the Real Audio box. You can locate the Real URL ADDRESS by right clicking on the link to the file you wish to listen to, then click on the copy short cut, and paste that into the real audio browser box. Try it with this one: majicat.com/lindartime.ramGood luck, let me know if you have any success. Christine

Hello Lene,
I checked out the real audio for you. All three formats (audio, video, & slideshow) are working fine on my end. I listened to them on my PC and as well as on another PC. So it probably has to do with your pc. Does Real Audio come on saying anything, such as what the problem is? If it does, copy it here, maybe we can try to figure out the problem.

OK OK another Cat connection. I am racking my brains here to remember the name of this soapie. I think it was AS The World Turns. There was a teenage girl names Liza in it, this is clear back in the mid 70's when I use to watch it, although I think it is off the air now. Anyway they would play quite a few scenes from her bedroom. On one of her walls, there was a Cat Stevens poster. He was sitting on a rock near the ocean, and that is basically all I really remember of it. I remember searching my darnest for that poster as a teenager. But I never succeeded in locating it. I use to watch that soapie, just so I could see that poster.

Sloppy, I have never been able to catch the very first WKRP in Cincy, but I will keep an eye out for it.
As for Cat connections in shows. My mother was watching one of "her" shows the other week, "Murder She Wrote". I was talking to her, and only half watching it, when I caught a Cat Connection on it. Jessica Fletcher wasn't on it, but some British Guy was the star of this particular show. I have no idea where Angela Lansbury was or why she wasn't in it. But back to the Cat connection. After the case was solved, the mystery solver, I think his name was Stanton , was given a small token of appreciation. And low and behold he opens the backage to a CD of Teaser and the Firecat!!
After not paying attention to what was going on in the show, to seeing a Cat Stevens CD being presented as a token of appreciation, it really threw me for a loop and peeked my attention.

Shirley, I didn't uncover the Top Cat article, it was uncovered for me. A very nice couple Chris and Annie Abrams contacted me about this wonderful article and many others which they have collected over the years. So I am thankful for people like these generous folks for allowing us to read it. I have to agree with you though, It has to be one of the best or even thee best article I have read on Cat Stevens to date so far.

Peace Train came in as the #2 peace call in song.oh ? nice ... what was # 1 then ? Give Peace a Chance ? I am not sure what made it to the top slot. I was on my way to work when I was listening to the program. And you know how that is when you want to hear the final result, they played commmercial after commercials and by then I was at work. So, I wasn't able to hear the final results. But Give Peace a chance sounds like a logical choice.
